The Mind Body Well Eating Disorder Masterclass series offers professional development for allied health and medical professionals working with people experiencing eating disorders, body image, and weight and shape concerns. The sessions are suitable for all therapists regardless of experience, however they will assume general knowledge of eating disorder diagnosis and treatment options.
Each session has been presented by an experienced Mind Body Well therapist, exploring the topic through a Health at Every Size® lens, focussing on inclusive and respectful therapeutic approaches which are both evidence based and client centred.
The Masterclasses were conducted via Zoom and have been recorded for ongoing access. Once registered, you will have access to the recording and handouts from the session for 3 months following registration. Sessions have a practical focus for therapists working with people with Eating Disorders in the Australian treatment setting.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a prevalent, yet highly misunderstood psychiatric disorder. While there is some overlap of BDD with the presentation and treatment of eating disorders, BDD requires specific assessment and unique considerations for recovery. The aim of this masterclass is to support clinicians working in the field of eating disorders and body image in better understanding BDD, with an introduction to assessment and treatment. This will include an overview of presentations, differential diagnosis, clinical features and assessment. Specific presentations of BDD will also be discussed, including working with individuals with muscle dysmorphia, and those seeking cosmetic surgery.

Introductory principals for BDD treatment
